You can create a coupon by going to your Products/Coupon page, as shown below.

(NOTE: It is not possible to create a coupon for a Daypass or Payment Plans)

1) Click "Products" > "Coupon" on the left, then click "Add Coupon" on the top right.

2) Enter a "Coupon Name". This will be for your reference only and will not be visible to your students.

3) Create a "Coupon Code" and this is what you will give to your students. You can create your own name (just start typing on the "Coupon Code" line) or click on "Generate" and the system will auto generate a random code for you.

4) Enter the number of "Max Credits" for this coupon. This is the number of times the coupon can be used on checkout.

5) Select the "Discount Type". You can choose a percentage or dollar amount off of the purchase price.

6A) Select the "Discount Duration" when using STRIPE.

  • Discounts for Memberships with Stripe

Setting the discount duration for your coupon indicates how many "months" the discount of this coupon will apply. (With Stripe, the only "unit" available is months. We can not have a coupon that applies to 1-week of a weekly subscription or to 1-day of a daily subscription).

Enter the number of months you want the discount to apply or choose unlimited.

a) For daily memberships:

If you enter 1, the student will have 1 month free and then charged daily.

If you enter 2, the student will have 2 months free and then charged daily.

If you enter unlimited the student will have the discount amount applied for the life of their membership.

b) For weekly memberships:

If you enter 1, the student will have 1 month free and then charged weekly.

If you enter 2, the student will have 2 months free and then charged weekly.

If you enter unlimited, the student will have the discount amount applied for the life of their membership.

c) For monthly memberships:

If you enter 1, the student will have 1 month free and then charged monthly.

If you enter 2, the student will have 2 months free and then charged monthly.

If you enter unlimited the student will have the discount amount applied for the life of their membership.

d) For annual memberships:

If you enter 1, the student will have the discount applied for the first year and then charge the regular price for the second year.

If you enter unlimited the student will have the discount amount applied for the life of their membership.

  • Discount Duration for Fixed Prices with Stripe

Set the duration to "unlimited" because it is a one-time payment.

6B) Select the "Discount Duration" when using PAYPAL.

  • Discounts on Memberships with PayPal

According to the terms of use of PayPal, once a subscription price is set, you cannot change it. If you use PayPal and you create a coupon for a membership, the student will get the discount indefinitely.

(PayPal users must set all coupon's duration to indefinitely or consider offering a free trial.)

  • Discount Duration for Fixed Prices with PayPal

Set the duration to unlimited because this is a one-time payment. You are able to use coupons for fixed-priced products with PayPal.

7) The redeem start and end date is the window of time that the coupon can be used. Set the coupon's "Redeem Start" date (which is the date that the coupon will be active and your students are able to redeem) and the "Redeem End" date (the coupon will not work after this date).

8) The last step is to "Link the Coupon to a Specific Product" (must be a product you've already created. Start typing the name on the line and your product list will appear. You can also make one coupon apply to multiple products.

9) To see who has used your coupons, click on the 3 dots on the right and select "View Coupon Detail".
