You can limit how many people are able to purchase any product on Marvelous — courses, memberships, ClassCards, coaching, on-demand libraries, even bundles. The setting lives in your product's Summary tab.
How to set a purchase limit
Open your product → click the Summary tab
Scroll down to the Enrollment section
Toggle Enrollment on
In the "Close checkout after number of purchases" field, enter your maximum number (e.g., 30)
Save
When the cap is reached, the "Buy" button is replaced with a greyed-out "Enrollment Closed" message on the product page.
How to make it unlimited
Leave the "Close checkout after number of purchases" field empty. The placeholder shows "Unlimited" — that's the default. There's no separate "unlimited" toggle; an empty field is unlimited.
How to close enrollment entirely (with optional waitlist)
Toggle Enrollment off. The product becomes unavailable for purchase. You'll then see an "Enable Waitlist" checkbox — turn it on if you want students to be able to join a waitlist for when you reopen.
This works for ClassCards too
The same Enrollment setting on the Summary tab applies to ClassCard products. If you want to limit how many ClassCards you sell (e.g., only 50 of your "20-pack drop-in" cards), set the cap here.
Related: limiting purchases per customer
The Enrollment limit caps the total number of purchases across all customers. If you want to control whether a single customer can buy the same product more than once, that's a separate setting called Multiple Purchases, found in the product's Pricing tab. Toggle it to "Not allowed" to prevent re-purchases.
