Before a teacher or student participates in a live-stream, please use the setup
page to check your setup and readiness for live-streaming.
TESTING YOUR CAMERA AND MIC
Click on "TEST CAMERA & MIC"
Check to see if your browser can recognize your camera and mic. The dropdown menus will display the options you have for webcam and mic. Select the one that you'd like.
IF YOUR CAMERA OR MIC ARE NOT RECOGNIZED BY YOUR BROWSER
If the setup check shows that the browser cannot see your camera or mic, then you will need to go into your browser or settings to allow access.
iPHONE: CONNECTING MIC AND CAMERA
Open the https://app.heymarvelous.com/#/setup on your phone to check permission in your browser.
If it says "please allow access to your camera and mic" you need to do the following.
On an iPhone:
Scroll to the browser you are using
Toggle mic and camera to ON
DESKTOP: CONNECTING MIC AND CAMERA
If you are trying to live-stream with Chrome and your camera is not connecting, you most likely need to give Chrome permission to access your camera.
Once you start your live-stream session, click on the tiny camera icon as shown below.
Next, select "Continue allowing app.heymarvelous.com to access your camera and microphone" and click "Done".
If you are live-streaming with Safari, before you go live, you will see this pop-up. Click on "Allow".
Alternatively, you can go to Safari > Preference > Websites.
Click on "Camera" and beside api.heymarvelous.com, click on "Allow" (and you won't be asked every time you go live)
Click on "Microphone" and beside api.heymarvelous.com, click on "Allow" (and you won't be asked every time you go live)
